So my diet isn't working anymore I've been following my food plan, but I've been stuck on a 2kg loss for the past weeks. 2 kg in 6 weeks, not really a good result. It's really demotivating. And what's even worse: I feel the extra pounds are holding me back while running. So that's not really progressing either.

Yesterday I made my decision: I'm going to see another dietitian. Hopefully she'll be able to give me some pointers and I can shed this extra weight. Maybe I'll even try to lose a bit more weight than what I originally intented.

How's everyone else doing ?

Officially I' m not on a diet, but unofficially I'm struggling along. Need to loose 8 kilo's...lost 4 in two weeks and am stuck with the remaining 4.

Just to give some quantity. A ball park figure could be 30 cal/kg just to maintain the things as they are.
80 kg needs about 2400 cal. 70 kg only 2100. So a 10 kg difference corresponds to about 300 cal. Mid latitude temperatures. If he/she lives in Siberia in winter he/she might need more

if the weight is 80 to go down to 70, than a 2000 cal/day will build up a deficit of about 150 cal/day. equivalent to about 150 gr of fat. Obviously if there is enough exercise not to loose muscles but fat. This is the basic thermodynamics, than there are all the nice complications of real life.

2000 cal/day is not uncomfortable but requires discipline and some care. Like using scales. 1600 is quite nice yet. 1000 is bearable but dangerous, whichever way one looks at it.

I don't even own a set of scales. 4 weeks into P90X and i've already tightned the belts up a notch or two though

That could be my problem. My food plan was made when I was about 12 kg overweight. Although I never lost weight fast, not even in the beginning.

Yes, next weekend we'll be having carnival as well. It originated from 'under the big rivers' in our country, the south, but now a lot of towns in the west also have a kind of carnival. But not the real one, of course.
I didn't grow up with carnival, as it was for the catholics only and I was raised a strict calvinist. But when I was 17, I left home to study in the south and we always went to the carnival with a group of girls. ...out together.....home together.
