Ich habe am 10. Mai ein 64 GB WiFi iPad bestellt.
Gestern bekam ich ein eMail von Apple, dass das iPad versandt und spätestens am 28. Mai hier bei mir eintreffen müsste.
Damit hatte ich noch gar nicht gerechnet.
Bin gespannt...

Also falls dir das alles zu schnell geht, du noch etwas Vorlaufzeit brauchst und außerdem ein paar Euro für wohltätige Zwecke spenden willst, kannst du es gerne an mich weiterleiten und nochmal neu bestellen...

Also ich kann mich über den Lesekomfort bei iPad nach mittlerweile zwei gelesenen Büchern nicht beschweren.
Dank Schriftgößen- und Helligkeitsverstellung kann man ziemlich gut lesen, auch nachts.

Über die Technikkompetenz der Autorin sag ich jetzt mal lieber nichts ...

Ich denke, ihre Technikkompetenz dürfte der der meisten Menschen da draußen entsprechen ... und die will Apple ja erreichen. Nicht uns.

Mir gefiel ihr Bericht. Sie hat ja die für sie subjektiven Schwächen und Stärken aufgelistet. Ob sich die Helligkeit in der Kindle-App genauso einfach regulieren lässt wie in iBooks, dazu wird Marc was sagen können.

Ansonsten weiß ich auch nicht, wie offen dieses Feature kommuniziert wird. Apples Bedienungsanleitungen sind ja nun selten ein Ausbund an Detailfreudigkeit.

Es ist kaum zu glauben, was man in der letzten Zeit so alles über das iPad lesen muss. Die meisten Berichte (ob nun positiv oder negativ) sind einfach falsch. Wenn man in der Kindle App mitten auf den Bildschirm tippt, kommt unten automatisch eine Optionsleiste, einfacher geht es nicht!
Man kann Textgrösse, Hintergrundfarbe und Helligkeit einstellen. (Siehe Anhang)

Das nutzt einem dann bei den – allerdings wenigen – deutschen Texten wenig.

Wie haben sich denn Deine Lesegewohnheiten entwickelt? Nutzt Du das iPad bei Deinen Alternativen tatsächlich zum Lesen?

Wie immer Ansichtssache. Wäre das iPad NUR ein eBook-Reader, würde ich beim Kindle bleiben. Ob man darauf nun "dicke Wälzer" lesen möchte oder nicht ... gute Frage. Noch benutze ich beide Geräte. Im hellen Sonnenlicht kann man das iPad jedenfalls nicht nutzen. (Glossy eben)
