I have Read the Swallows and Amazons series by Arthur Ransome many many times,

The Harry Potter books more than 30 times each,

But by far my most read books are ....

The Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis each of which I have read NO less than 80 Times and I am on my 6th set of them,

Yeah I'm crazy, and love childrens books,

A Clockwork Orange gets read once per year it seems. The older the book gets the more relevant it becomes.

Read Ulysses about 10 times and I still don't get it It is my "white whale" of reading. My goal is to read that thing at least once without using a dictionary. Crazy the fine line between trash and masterpiece.

Other than that I try to stay current. I will dust off some old Feist or Brooks from time to time. Fantasy stuff from the 80s and early 90s is what got me hooked on reading truth be told.

Actually, I think I rather enjoyed leaning poems by heart at school But I haven't read poetry in a very long time. Another thing to put on my "should do some day" list

You aren't the only one, I love children's books as well, and have read both the Harry Potter series and the Narnia series several times over. I recently started re-reading one of my favourite children's series growing up, "The Baby-sitters club"

Usually, I don't re-read books because I am a slow reader.
There are only a few books that I re-read:

The Lord of the Rings -5x
The Master and Margarita - 2x
Count of Monte Cristo - 3x, the third and the last time I was pretty much disappointed because I remembered most of it and for me the key to the book was in the mystery, not the details (vs. The Lord of Rings)
The Farseer trilogy - 2x
The Liveship trilogy - 2x
Ivanhoe by Sir Walter Scott - 2x
Sherlock Holmes - ...at least a few times
Some novels and stories by Jack London Xx times.
The Gunslinger - 2x

That's it.
I am planning to re-read in future:
Harry Potter
The Lord of the Rings
The Hobbit
The Silmarillion
The Dark Tower
Ivanhoe

These seem to be regular rereads, every few years-

Dorothy Dunnett's Lymond Chronicles and House of Niccolo series
Patrick O'Brian's Aubrey/Maturin series
C.J. Cherryh's Chanur series and most of the books from her Alliance/Union universe
Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time
P.G. Wodehouse's Leave It To Psmith and the Blanding's Castle stories

I've read lots of other stuff a couple or three times, but those above are the ones I fully expect to keep rereading. I don't think I've drained the life out of any of 'em. Particularly the Dunnett stuff which is a tough but rewarding read.
