Are there any one explain that odd thing, compliance wityh epub2 standard.
I did epub doucment for fun and displayed it on Likebook Mimas octo-core and 2 Go of ram the last made eraeder of the market, then on Sony PRS-T2 has a decade yet, Pst2 is compliant not Mimas
On Prst2 rendition is correct, not at all on Mimas

My small test of compliance works with:
PocketBook pro 912 version 20120411
Onyx BooCarta and n96ML version 1.91
Prs-T2 version 1.1.00.17210
So if today Likebook Mimas is far to compliant to epub2; don't dream for epub3!!!

SW Update for the Muses is out now.
It includes Google Play support.
Let's see how long it takes to port that to the Mimas.

Well it comes to day for me! problem still remain, Mimas doesn't compliant with epub2 standard; then Mimas is slower than Prs-t2 dispite octo-core cpu and 2 gb of ram.

Update for Mimas has been released.
Some of the most annoying problems have been solved (disable of hand layer in pdf annotation for example). Also added the ability to have different folders in Notes.

First: physical buttons doesn't work to navigate in bookshelves.may be no one use this feature really usefull for me (it works on Note).
Second: in reading book, space beetwen words is deleted, so makes reading very hard and giving up.

Your saying the setting for word spacing is now gone? Have you rebooted your tablet since the update? Also you can just attach the image itself it does not need to be in a zip.

Yes, i did also a reset factory that happens with "does it pay to be nice.epub", ",ne tirez pas sur l'oiseau moqueur.epub", and many others files epub but not with files pdf, this doesn't happen with Note..
And what about physical buttons, in bookselves screen, it's act as voulume button, not as navigate buttons.

I Don't have a mimas so can't test the buttons but that sounds like maybe they added a user setting that changes what they do?

they added volume, alarm and notification features , just not necessary in that sort of device! they would do a lot of work polishing their software than adding unnecceray stuf, i think Mimas is a regress to Note version!
I am suprised that never any one post about quality of software, just if there a front-light or not and if battery has many drain, but when i can't easily read with the device, i don't care about front-light or battery drain.

Another issue, in Book management, name folder is limited to 10 chartacters, so how to name folder "William Faulkner"?

Now that does sound odd, 10 characters is nothing. Is your device in English or another language?

Yes, to day and everywhere limiation is 256 characters, my native language is french, so how to name forlder "Victor Hugo" or "Octave Mirbeau"? Onyx Boox N96ML or Maxcarta haven't this limitation.

I read many reviews on LikeBook Mimas, no one has notice this limitation nor physical buttons, they just use their finger, never physical buttons, all reviews describe the description of manufacturer, i think they never had device in hand.
All forlder name has this limitation, why people using Note app has never see any issue, the lenght of name file doesn't matter for them?

I have the Likebook Mars device, apart from my Onyx Max2 and would not recommend using Likebook's native reader. It is significantly worse than onyx in this regard - especially it doesn't seem to support hyphenation which makes the pages render in a distracting manner with uneven word spacing.

That said, for both devices I use calibre to manage books. For reading, I use one of the android readers most of the time (librera, moon+, aireader) with custom fonts and dictionaries. They all work quite well after playing around with their settings and app specific e-ink optimize feature in both devices.

Have you or anyone else here applied this Update? Any reviews, problems, improvements? Do you know of any other sites, that can be linked, where I can read more about the update? (In English.) At this point I'm not sure if I want to bother with it.

This must be new too, right? Because of the update? Because I have folders in my Books folder with names that are longer than 10 characters, but I haven't applied the new update.
