It's very unusual to find an audio "how-to" book (But I've seen one or two audio cookbooks)! But, I suppose if you learn better orally than you do visually (free advice: it's important that you know which one of those is true for you), this might be a good thing. I've been wanting to learn to use Evernote for a long time, but just haven't done it. I've bought this Whispersync companion deal myself, though, and hope that by listening to the audiobook in spare moments I can pick up enough that I can get started using Evernote.

I've already bought it.

I thought that it would be pretty easy to learn. A piece of software doesn't get to be as popular as EverNote is when it has a steep learning curve. Still, I think that listening to the audio will help me to "hit the ground running." The only reason that I bought the book was to get the cheap audiobook.

Actually all software that I have learned to use, I pretty much did it by just "picking it up" (I had the good fortune of not having been required to learn any of them quickly). If I had instruction books I rarely used them; I didn't use the "help" files much either. If it was so difficult that I had to study books to learn it, I just chucked the software. There was, for example a Geos desktop publishing program that ran on my Commodore 64 eons ago (those were definitely not the "good ole days"!).

Tantor Audio commonly has sales on downloads for $6.99. In case you do not get Tantor Audio/Tantor Media's mailings, I want to let you know that another one of these sales has just started and runs through 3/20/15.

This present sale includes "new releases" and "over 3000 titles" (that seems like more than usual).

A "heads up." This bit of information is not really about digital products, although you can do a conversion to digital with the right software . . . . While briefly perusing some of the sale titles, I noticed a title in the CD format for only $2.99. Most of the non-download formats cost more, in many cases much more, than the downloads. There may be many more of these ultra-cheap CDs, you'll just have to look around and/or do a search if you're interested in those.

This is a biography of John Wooden, the extremely successful longtime basketball coach at UCLA.

Mobilereaders do not impress me as being interested much in sports. However, this should be a good listen/read even to people not interested in sports, because Wooden has a lot to say about being successful in life as well as in basketball. His words are inspirational.
