curtrm: There are three models of the Kobo WiFi. They need different images to restore them. The model number is printed on the end of the ereader with the USB port. This could be on of N647, N647B and N289. Which do you have?

Hi , my kobo is an n289 wifi (kobo 2 I think) it got wiped after a
factory reset caused by the failed online upgrade thru the kobo desktop

It can't recognize books anymore after doing a Wifi Firmware Update.

May I also have a copy of the image for the Kobo Wifi 647b. mine is just frozen on the start "read on" screen. it has been sat in a draw for ages after the firmware update turned it into a paperweight.

Thanks my wifes ereader is now working again. Of course I cracked part of the casing popping it apart to get to the sd card.
