Have you checked the event viewer and the Word log? It should contain a hint if you cannot enable it.

That would be great, but I don't know what those are.

Enter Event Viewer into Search (Winkey+S if not on Taskbar), click on Event Viewer icon.

The Office logs are accessed as shown below



Suggest you look at at the event logs immediately after re-installing and activating the add-in, make sure the event logs are shown as latest on top - click Date and Time in the list headers so that it has a little down arrow.

Are there any messages pertaining to Add-ins, particularly Warnings or Errors.

Word 2010 does NOT log an Information Message when an Add-in is toggled on/off in the COM Add-ins available list. Maybe later versions of Word log the toggle on/off event.

I just released version 1.16.1 with some cosmetic changes and a fix in the S/R rules editor. A change in the order of the rulesets were not transferred to the actual document.

Again a small update to 1.16.2. Two fixes in this one. The first fix is for the import ePUB. This could ignore stylesheets in some cases if the stylesheet filename contained spaces or encoded spaces.
The other fix is primarily for new users. If the %appdata%\Toxaris does not exist yet, the add-in loads, but will not show the ribbon. This is fixed now.

Version 1.17 came out yesterday. Besides several small bugfixes, there are a few new things.

- Option to also store the 'file-as' attribute for the author when creating the ePUB. The 'file-as' value will be created automatically, but can be changed when required
- The 'file-as' attribute for author can be used in the filename of the ePUB (see the settings)
- Option to use a monospaced font for the misspelled words in the 'Check Spelling' procedure. This helps in the visual check. The font and size can be set. (see the settings). I personally use the font 'Source Code demibold' which has good visible difference between the letters
- Option to also identify incorrect numbered lists. Sometimes a number at the beginning of the line is identified by ABBYY as numbered list when it actually is just a number. The list is changed into normal text and the number inserted.

Version 1.18.0 is just released. The following things have been added or updated:

- The option to open the ePUB after creation can now be configured to be activated by default
- Option to choose for <em> and <strong> instead of <i> and <b>
- Equations in a Word document can now be exported as MathML, SVG or both.
- Font files used in Word styles can be included in the ePUB (only if the stylesheet is generated)
- The conversion to HTML can now be performed automatically when the export to ePUB procedure is started
- Remove orphaned HTML tags (e.g. </i> <i>)

For the next version I will include the option to have equations in an ePUB as either png image or SVG image, so manual replacement will not be necessary.

Actually picking fontfiles from the windows font directory is not that easy as it sounds... There is a reason why I combined it with the fact that the stylesheet must be generated. More control and, too be honest, people that already know about fonts will not generate a stylesheet but use their own.
