It here! My 7022. I have it my hands! Installing Mantano as I type. .
Only one flaw I notice 1 dead pixel possibly or a spec of dirt under the screen but it's barely noticeable.
I don't like where the Home and Menu button are. Not made for a lefty! Other then that so far I like it!

Full Disclosure: I have a to-read list but I hate spreadsheets and I have no idea how many pages in the book, nor do I care.

I's return it for a new one. That one dead pixel could prove maddening.

As Tom says, you might want to consider returning/swapping....but I also know it may be no big deal...

I use excel for everything! It's an addiction. I play a game call Sims 2 where you build neighborhoods, add families and get to play God so to speak with them. My Sim spreadsheet keeps track of each sim's details and hood detail. It's extensive and very colorful.

I don't care about pages in a book either but I need a way to keep track of all those HQ Treasury titles I am to buy and it works for me.

Congrats, Blossom! Too bad about the dead pixel. If it's maddening or not will depend on you and where it's at. But since you got it from Amazon, it should be easy to swap it. Yes, you have to wait a few more days, but Amazon is pretty quick when I've had to return/refund or swap. I hope you enjoy it, whether you decide to swap or keep it!

Looks like I'm waiting until Christmas. Sigh. Played with the Flyer at Best Buy over lunch, freaked out another customer when I watched the Old Spice guy on YouTube. The speakers were cranked, oops! Still trying to convince the fiance to let me play with it and then box it shortly before Christmas. I will be a much more pleasant person, and we had a row over families and holiday scheduling, so this would be a wonderful way to ease the burn, right? 0:-) Horrible, I know. Besides, he's contributing to the cost, not paying for it all, so shouldn't we split the wait? I'm paying for the majority of it! I should get it for the majority of the holiday countdown. So logical.

The NC at $199 is only slightly tempting. Now that the Flyer is very much a possibly (I just have to wait and wait for it), I don't want to settle.

Yes, the Lending Library appears to totally be a way to keep people in Kindleville rather than jump ship to a more open platform. And that's fine, I guess, though it's only worth it if you already have Prime and Kindle. $80 to at the max borrow 12 books? My library (university) is $25/year and the public is $75/year for essentially unlimited movies and DVDs (due dates and fines if you're late). So, Amazon's library is only good if you're already set up for it. Boo. :-p

Thank you! the pixel really isn't something I'd return it for because of where it is. You can't see it unless you using a white background and with my bad eyes I only notice if I am looking for it.
My 3Feet stand fits it perfectly! I am so buying another stand for upstairs.

Got the market and app store sideloaded already. The only thing I miss is the voice key that my phone has on the keyboard. I do think the 7127 I would like more due to button placement but I am happy so far with my tablet.

I tried turning auto rotate off but when I do it goes to landscape mode.

No issues so far.

The Kindle fire is a tablet ... ...

However, will be a closed device with a closed market. That can be good or bad, depending of what you need.

I would say, for someone expecting a cheap tablet, with good content and good customer support, is an awesome alternative. No idea how reliable or good the device will be, but Amazon's customer support has a very good reputation.

For true Magazine experience or full Android market access though, this is not a good device, in my opinion. 7' is kind of small. I know it, because had a Galaxy Tab, but the main difference is or was, had 3G connection. That makes a huge difference. Fire will be wifi only.

I'm still on the fence for a Kindle touch, but I will keep my iPad2. I prefer the 10" size for tablets and the Kindle fire does not meet such personal requirement. My Galaxy SII is portable enough for other Android needs.

Well it looks like I will be sending the Coby 7022 back. The battery gauge has gone nuts. It can't make up it mind how much is left so I tried to run it down to 5% and within 4 minutes it says it's at 35% I'm not going to exchange it but get my money back. I really like it but I don't want to take another chance of it doing this again.

Oh and I found another dead pixel. *sigh*

Well, sometimes the battery "gauge" needs to cycle a couple of times to sync up. ... but yeah, if you have that issue and multiple pixel issues ... I'd definitely send it back....you have a right to get what you pay for!

There is another device out there for you. I think price drops on many existing tablets are coming soon as new models with Android 4.0 will be rolled out in the next few months.

Has anyone heard anything from the rumor mill as to whether Amazon will offer a 7" 3G Fire?
