I didn't get that idea at all. I even specifically said 'please each other' not "please your man." There is no question that it should be a two way street. Specifically, I said "Can't one please both themselves and their significant others? No one said it had to be the women pleasing the men.

For some reason, in lots of cultures, it always seems to be the woman's job to please the man. Of course, then there's the point that men just look stupid in lingerie....

Not just stupid! Look at the choices men are given! Even the Chippendale dancers seem limited to 'cowboy,' 'construction worker,' and 'secret agent!'

There are is a great variety in men's underwear but it's mostly in colors, with only 4 shapes offered, two of them being really uncomfortable.

So with this thread being mostly female ideas, what do YOU think is sexy attire for men? Calvin Klein wants us to believe it's 20 year old guys with no hair on their bodies. (Until recently 'stylish' Japanese men would use hair remover...) What intimate clothing style is sexy for a guy?

(And I realize that many agree that clean and fresh is important... to some, while 'straight from two days hard work, unshaved' is important to others. I'm talking 'clothing,' not hygiene. )

Two words: My husband.

LOL - seriously, Chris is the sexiest man I have ever known. The first several years we were together, his wardrobe was mainly Levi's 501's and an untucked dress shirt on weekends, t shirts for work. His nickname at Jewel was "Shel's Rockstar Husband" At the time, he had almost waist length hair, a Johnny-Depp-as-Capt.-Jack swagger and could rock him some shades.
These days, the hair is almost business class short, but still curls, which I love, and he's gone more toward carpenter style jeans (but NOT the saggy baggy ones around his knees!!). And I will tell you that NO ONE rocks a suit like Chris. OMG. He bought one for an interview and I had a hard time letting him out the door.

So that's three distinct "styles" and all of them sexy - but ONLY on Chris. *shrugs*. As for "intimate"... he looks great all the time, so can't pick something.

I am going to burst your bubble, sorry for that....
When I met superman, he was wearing jockey briefs, because he found them comfortable and needed that comfort and that support because of the amount of sports he was doing daily.
For our wedding (in Florida), I got him calvin kleins, the tight boxer short. superman is tall and at that time the 6-pack was very defined, it looked great on him. He loved them too, and still to this day will only wear CK boxer shorts. White, grey, black. On a crazy day, he'll go for stripes (kidding). The 6-pack is still there, the definition is less pronounced, but it is still very visible, I think he is the greatest looking guy around, and certainly one of the best looking 50 years old man I know. Not fat, in form, and the grey temples match the sun tanned face well.
He shaves daily because in his business he needs to look clean and very serious, and it goes better with the suits. He has body hair, but little of it on his torso, none on his back, so he does not need to shave more. Perfect for me. (shaved legs is a no go on men, and yes, apart from Lance Armstrong, other guys do it).
He wears simple white CK Ts under his business shirts (not always a tie, I like it best when the shirt is slightly open so I can see the T), but I like him best in one of his leisure linen white shirt, when he rolls the arms of it and it is slightly creased. If he is wearing the linen white trousers or the Diesel Jeans with it, and leans against the wall sticking his hands in his pockets (such a cool guy ), he has no chances of escaping our house safe .

That's corroborates directly with my comment that 'sexy' was more of an internal thing, rather than just some clothing worn. The 'outer wrapper' just points out the inner attributes!

You know, I really don't see how a man in underwear can be as sexy as a woman in underwear. My new boyfriend wears those short boxers. He's got a tummy, but that doesn't bother me at all. Not that much chest hair, which is important to me

I think he looks most sexy when he's freshly shaved/trimmed, showered and clothed. He has a great sense of style, usually wears dress shirts with sometimes a black t-shirt undernearth. He's like me: quality over quantity. And: he's not afraid of colour! It's mostly blue and purple, but he also owns some red clothing. I'm looking forward to the day I get to see him in a suit

Hooray for facial hair! Mine has a beard and moustache, both very short and really wel kept (very very important). Soooo hot But I have to disagree about the muscles. For some reason, all my boyfriends had a little tummy. They weren't fat, because I don't think I could fall for someone who doesn't have enough discipline to take a little care of his body. But definitely 'soft'.

À chacun son goût? I had a 'long distance' girlfriend who used to love to buy me underwear. I thought it horrible stuff, but I'd wear it when she came to visit. It made her happy, turned her on, didn't really bother me, and made for some enjoyable visits.

I am not convinced that a woman needs any lingerie at all.
If it gets as far as visible lingeries, the lingeries become and obstacle for visual & tactile

Somebody said that women belong to on of the three groups:
A. Look good with clothes on and without them
B. Look good with clothes on but not so much without it
C. Don't look very attractive with clothes on but mind blowing without it

Where is the lingerie part in this list? Right. Nowhere.

As for men...I have been always ashamed of my body. Doesn't matter how much I ran, done lots of pull ups on a bar along with other things, climbing up a rope without help of legs, I had concrete wall stomach muscles that a friend of mine loved to stomp on when I happened to do some Kung-Fu for 7 months....I always, always had a spare tyre. What you call tummy. I never went for swimming with my classmates or later with other friends if girls were present because I was ashamed of the spare tyre.

My significant one doesn't notice/care about it at all. She never cared about how men looked like. She believed/believes that beautiful and super good looking are unfaithful and spoiled and always mentions my father who was famous for his good looks and still has this vanity. Who knows? I was never one...I mean good looking.
The only thing she over is my muscles? that were boosted by running a lot. I have no idea why, but a friend of mine, a true Casanova, told me that women love this part. I assure you, that I was doing all the running for entirely different reasons! Attempting to get rid off spare tyre!
