KK made 2 new threads, these are we one's we've been talking about.
This one will be used for lists of the books you have read.
This one is for discussion of books that are currently being read.

I think Jon made a thread as well, but I couldn't find it.

I think we're still awaiting feedback from the mods about whether we're going to create stickies for these two threads, or a subforum somewhere. I just posted my list of read books because I wanted to be at the top

We're really making this more difficult than it should be ...

I know, I think I've said it a few times already: the discussion thread is pointless if it is just going to be about telling people what we're reading. Because we already have a thread for that. But maybe it could be more than that, with people posting reviews or answering questions about the books they've read.

as has already been pointed out, we are trying to get thread(s) for the 2011 challenge. there's no real good reason we cannot start anew every year

I agree that we need a club specific discussion thread. I am using the one you started. It's easier to spot on the thread list.

I just moved my group list to KK's thread. It seems to be a good solution. Maybe consentually restrict it lists only, and start a thread for discussion, with links to each other in the OP. Simple and effective solution.

But if we do that have a "have read" and an "I am reading thread", we could end up confusing things. because you have to jump between threads and if someone starts a discussion of a given book in one thread, someone else could start a discussion of the same book. I feel it's a but confusing.
