Since I suspect we'll be getting shut down anyway, I'll take this opportunity to offer my conclusions.

Not everything in this story has added up as we've gone along. But as someone previously posted, the truth usually lies somewhere in the middle. I make no claims to know how this all actually started - only that I pointed out one possible Prime terms violation which may or may not be relevant.

I initially doubted the OPs claims that he got his books back simply because of how he first explained that. But things eventually started making a bit more sense.

My thoughts are thus: As more and more people are using the Kindle platform, Amazon would likely have had to adjust their practices for handling closed accounts, especially those involving linked accounts. It appears that in order to avoid considerable future costs (and possibly anticipating that the "license vs buy" issue with regard to ebooks may hit a rough patch down the road) they've started selectively limiting accounts in certain situations. This is a sensible decision, in my opinion.

He could, but because of the butterfly effect the real scores would end up being different and you would get no benefit. But then would the changed scores be what he sent you and another butterfly effect would follow which would change the scores and what he sent you and...

I'm worried because I'm a grandfather and we all know what that means.
