Cheap Chinese dong ding oolong. It's heavily roasted and has a nice toasty flavor.

Not bad. Not bad at all. The leaves are less broken that some English Breakfast Blends I've had, the nose is typical, rather malty, but with some astringency. The mouth is full and a bit "bitty", but not so much that it needs milk. The liquor is a bit lighter in colour than some, but the taste is full bodied. A definite morning blend.

First impressions of this were not encouraging. I opened the sealed pouch and took a whiff. An almost sweet edge, and a bit of oddness that I associate with Kenyan teas, not usually my favourite. Good sized leaves, virtually no broken ones, that's a good sign.

Good red licquor, but the nose is a bit "flat", and that carries through to the taste as well. Certainly not the "edginess" that the purveyors have claimed for it. This might require temperature adjustment to reach it's full potential. It certainly isn't inspiring at this temperature, though it's not bad. Just not exciting.

Poor pooh! A chicken with a migraine is not a good thing! I hope you've recovered a bit, though I know from living with a migraine sufferer that even when it's gone, there's usually a bit of a "hangover" from it.

Oooh, not nice to our pooh! On the other hand, it certainly does solve the migraine problem...

I think I need some Talisker 10Yr to go with tonight's chicken pot pie.

Yes, I indeed had a touch of migraine 'hangover' today ... but things improved ... pour me some of that Talisker and order a pizza! No chicken pot pie tonight! [maybe tomorrow if the heat & humidity levels stay > 90!]

Then, I'm having a big breakfast with fresh squeezed OJ and a large Peet's Major Dickason's Blend.
