Biluochun green. It's really good. It has the flowery flavors that I associate with silver needle white, but an overall deeper flavor.

Since I've enjoyed the last few greens I've tried despite not having liked green tea in the past, I'm starting to think that I've just had a lot of bad green tea.

I've yet to find the right combination for Sencha, but I keep hoping.

Meanwhile, finishing off a second steeping of Murchie's English Breakfast.

A bit light, but still clearly an Islay, and very much a Bruichladdich. I don't prefer it to the Port Charlotte, certainly. But nice, and quite reasonably priced.

Last tea for the day. I'm still working on the large tin (14 oz.) of Oolong tea from the local Asian market. The tin says very little in English besides "Oolong" (which also appears in French), but there is quite a bit in Chinese. It's very good, maybe not quite "great," and I'm still enjoying it.

It's interesting, though. I usually prefer some buckwheat honey in my tea, but this tea actually tastes much better with a bit of clover honey. The buckwheat honey just doesn't work. Go figure.

Actually, that doesn't surprise me -- the buckwheat honey has such a distinctive taste, I suspect it overwhelms the Oolong. Personally, I like my tea straight, but I can understand the addition of a bit of honey.

This morning, after a mostly sleepless night, I'm drinking Peet's Major Dickason's Blend coffee. Lots of it.
