Its not by any means difficult, just very time consuming and I only had a little time to work on it yesterday.

A couple of months ago my father bought a pre-paid credit card for €75 (almost $100). Because it's only valid for 3 months I told him that by the end of that time if he had any money left over I could use it to buy Amazon gift cards for myself and pay him the money back. Yesterday he told me the 3 months were nearly up and he hadn't used any of the money so I should use it to buy Amazon credit and he didn't even want me to repay him the money! Now I just have to keep myself from going on an ebook buying binge.

After that - time to rearrange the living room enough to get the Christmas tree set up.

We are decorating our Christmas/Hannukah/Pancha Ganapati/Saturnalia Bush. This year, the 'Twin' is large enough to support one microlight, one small dangling ornament, and one tiny candy cane. I need to get one or two strands of tinsel (the Twin certainly can't support an entire package of hundreds) and maybe string 10-15 pieces of popcorn to use too! Ho ho ho!

Just did the final Christmas decorations by Trimming the tree today. Now, I can sit back and enjoy all the twinkling lights.

The Twin lives right next to Felicity's tree and is there year round. So far, she hasn't expressed any interest in the few items we have hung on it so far. It's waaaay to small for her to think of climbing, especially when she has her own large tree next to it to climb, so thankfully, no problems.

We haven't had a tree since we got Max. That's how we deal with it .

Nikita used to bat the balls through the room and tried to eat the tinsel. Our solution: no decoration in the lower part of the tree. Lexie has never showed any interest in Christmas decorations but I think we'll still keep the lower part of the tree ball-free since Lexie isn't always careful with what her tail does.

Today I got a new mirror cabinet to replace the mirror over my sink. My father took down the mirror when installing the cabinet and put the mirror across from the top of the stairs (maybe 2 foot between the top of the stairs and the mirror). Lexie came with me upstairs tonight, walking in front of me and nearly had a heart attack when she suddenly saw a cat at the top of the stairs. It took a while before she figured out it was her reflection.

My father used to have one of the wires of an electrical fence threaded though the door of our side entrance because men kept urinating against it (one of the drawbacks of living in the inner city). The people living across the street from that door told us they had great entertainment during the weekend and placed bets on how high the pee-ers would jump.
