Drinking filtered water today, and glad to get even that. I love staying at a friends when I come down south, but the beverage choices are a challenge.

OTOH, I picked up a tin of First Flush Darjeeling. Maybe I should dig it out and make some decent tea. Worst part is, I don't even remember what estate it was. (Bought online 4 weeks ago, but this is the first time I've been down here since to pick up my packages.)

Nice. I'm still working on the bottle I got last time one of us went down to Washington state. Didn't add any additional this time.

Drinking my first taste of a new First Flush Darjeeling from the 2016 harvest on the Sungma Estate. Very much towards the greenish side of the equation, but quite enjoyable. Brew at 195F, not 205F or 212F to avoid accentuating the grassy, herbal character. Perfect for a summery afternoon.
