I just finished watching the made for TV movie version of Certain Prey. I haven't actually read the novel that it's based one, but all I can say is that several people need to be shot before they have a chance to produce another travesty like this. I'm not a picky person, but the movie was just plain bad. Perhaps its only redeeming quality is that it started Mark Harmon. Though his character basically acts like Gibbs.

jumping for joy! Some kind soul on the internet solved a problem I have been working on for days. Now I can get on with my website. yippee! Although I don't know how to test it in Android etc. I guess I will cross that bridge when I come to it.

Well you could specifically test Android using the emulator Google included in the free SDK.

Teachers' Day here. I miss the teachers. They seemed malevolent years ago, but now I think they're among the kindest people I've met.

Yes, clog/step dancing is/was common in Northern England too. I've even done a little myself - my clogs are still sitting at the bottom of my wardrobe.

Currently relaxing after an energetic day yesterday!

The reason for the bubbles under the film is dust that has settled on the screen in the short time between cleaning the screen and applying the protector.

On a PDA forum they advised to go to the bathroom, turn on the shower and wait until the room is steamed up to apply the screen protector. Apparently if the room is steamy there aren't any dust particles floating around.

To avoid bubbles I always put on the protector in a corner or at the edge and use a credit card to push the rest of the protector down from the edge/corner outward.

Now that's an interesting idea. I'll give that a go next time I want to replace the protective layer.

Sure, it's very handy when going on vacation and when house sitting (especially during the weekends) because it's a good replacement for my notebook. For the other 10+ months of the year it's just a fun toy which isn't a good enough reason to spend €500. It also won't be replacing my Kindle because I expect I prefer to read on eInk and my Kindle weighs less.
I had originally bought my iPad with the idea that I would likely only use it for reading and marking up PDFs. It is now my most used gadget by far, and I'm sure that there is even much more potential there that I haven't yet uncovered. I don't often use it to read fiction, however; I prefer eink for that.

I've never had a netbook, however, so I am probably using it for things that you use your netbook for.

It is a fantastic little device, and for many folks it has replaced their desktop and laptop computers altogether.

Like you, however, I don't use it for reading books. That's why God created eInk.

I use an EEE PC netbook in the store, which is very handy except when typing longer messages since the keyboard is too small for blind typing.

I don't think it'll replace my PC, which I use for general computer stuff and gaming. It might replace my notebook up to certain degree because it's easier to take with when house sitting, when going on holiday abroad and maybe even surfing the web when I'm in bed. I will however prefer to watch movies in bed on a screen bigger than 10 inch, something I do on my notebook. So I'm still not sure if I have a good enough reason to start putting money aside for one.

Right this moment I'm waiting another ten minutes before I can take off my facial mask. I'm also trying not to move my face because it's one of those hardening masks and if you move your face you'll leave a trail of white dust. I'm also wondering how long it'll take for the stitches in my mouth to dissolve because the loose ends are getting really annoying.

Right now I'm slogging through Dark Legacy by Anna DeStefano, while randomly scrolling through Mobile Read, GoodReads or The Meta Picture, plus occasionally playing a song or two on iTunes or one of my stations on Pandora.

LOL.
Because of my cranky pants time last week and the colder weather the skin on my face went all crazy; very dry on my cheekbones, spotty on my chin and oily on my forehead. To calm my face down I put on one of those clay masks.

Earlier this week, when I had my dental appointment my mother wanted me to wear one of those face covering ski masks because the cold might hurt my jaw after the extraction. I didn't, of course.
