So I drove myself in - and apparently I had weirdly placed nerve branches so that she ended up doing a direct nerve block that numbed one entire half of my head. Couldn't figure out why until I looked at myself in the rear view mirror. I was literally drooling blood down the numb side of my face - unless I watched my face in the mirror, the numb half of my lip drooped open and all the bloody saliva was running out! I can't imagine the stories the other drivers told about seeing a vampire driving down Glenwood Avenue!

I had two of my wisdom teeth out in basic training. the day before the final physical fitness test. it couldn't wait and I didn't want to be "recycled" as I had already been recycled once due to a bout with bronchial pneumonia and two weeks hospitalization. the final bit of the test, after push ups, sit ups, the "trip stumble and fall" (run dodge and jump), and the bars, was a two mile run. I barely finished that in time and it took two of my best friends dragging me along, one on each side, with blood dripping out of either side of my mouth. back in those days we wore white t-shirts, needless to say, mine no longer was

What??!! We were just issued a Tornado Warning. It's NOVEMBER. This is ridiculous. Although the warning is for my county, it looks as if the actual storm is moving through the north part of the county, not my part down here in the south, so I don't need to take cover or anything. But still...ridiculous.

Edit: I think I'd better head over to my mom's house just in case it gets bad here.

Take care, Betty. I swore we should have had tornado watches at the beginning of the month. Much warmer than it should have been, humid, gray/green sky and STILL. Also unheard of for November here.

Thank you all for your kind words and horror stories. I'm feeling better now, even though the pain killers have worn off (going to take the next one just before I go to sleep). Interestingly the wound isn't what is most painful, it my jaw. Probably a combination off all the pushing and pulling and the anaesthetic injection, I can't open my mouth very far.

Lexie was very sweet today and kept close to me, something most cats we've had seem to do when your not feeling well.

Today I went downstairs to pick up the mail, my father was calling customers that their order had come in and was ready to be picked up. Whilst I was looking though the mail I heard him ask on the phone:
"Is mister Francis Cans in? The items he has ordered are ready to be picked up."

I had to laugh so hard that my mouth started bleeding again. It took a while before he understood the mistake he had made.

I am getting ready to fill tea bags. I have six tins of tea that are now empty, and I've lined the refills up across the kitchen table along with two packages of empty tea bags and a tablespoon. I figure it will take me about an hour to refill the tins. I have spread paper under all to catch my spills. When I'm finished I will gather up all the spilled tea and put it into one or two teabags, depending upon how messy I am. I will then proceed to make a cup of tea using one of those 'spill' bags. It will be a random mix of Assam, Keemun, Ceylon, Royal Breakfast, English Breakfast, and Uva teas. If history repeats itself, this should turn out to be a really horrible cup of tea.
(There is a very good reason why the tea merchants don't try to sell this mix.)

Agreed. The worst pain was from the jacking open of the jaw beyond it's comfort level - so the jaw muscles hurt more than anything else. That's bearable!

I was knocked out for mine. Best appointment ever. Okay, maybe not. There was some pain for a few days afterward, but the appointment was like going to sleep and then waking up in a hallucinogenic state. All I remember was them saying you should be feeling a little sleepy.

I had someone drive me home.
