Yesterday I finished off a cannister of one of my regular brands of Puerh. I opened a cannister of Oolong that I picked up a few weeks ago. I hadn't seen this brand before, but I'm open to experimentation -- and besides, it was a 14 ounce cannister for about the same price as the 6 ounce cannisters I usually buy.

Bottom line: it's good. Not spectacular, but it has the potential to be a nice, everyday tea. The flavor is strong without being bitter or astringent. On the other hand, it's not really a stand-out. Just good tea.

On reflection, though, I'm thinking it might have some real potential as an iced tea. It should stand up pretty well to ice, sugar and a little lemon.

For today, though, it's just a good cup of tea.

I'm having Taiwanese Earl Grey this morning. It's growing on me. I think I prefer the smoother Chinese black tea to the (I assume) Assam that's used in most English-style Earl Greys.

The Little Man turns four today. We moved him into his twin bed this weekend. During the room remodel he banished the rocking chair because 4 year olds don't need Mommy sitting in the rocking chair and he wanted more room to play. Last night he asked me to stay in his room while he fell asleep and was disappointed when I told him Mommy doesn't sit on the bean bag and the rocking chair was in the play room now.
