I still remember my first sip ... when that peaty goodness literally exploded on my tongue ... and it is one of the few single malts that I can taste, and drink, when battling the onslaught or exit of a migraine ... along with Lagavulin ... for some reason these richly peated malts are quite soothing for a queasy tummy.

I too remember my first sip of it. Neat, even though it is very high alcohol, just letting the tiniest bit sit on my tongue, and as the moisture in my mouth mixes with it, the peat opens up and explodes all the way to the back of the throat. And you really don't want to swallow, it's just too good.

Tonight is my DW's birthday. Seems like as good a reason as any to have a bit of Octomore!

I drank Rooibos teas my entire pregnancy. I have not had any since I gave birth. There are some good ones out there but I am sooooooo over that variety of tea.
