Sit and watch the climbers doing the 'Eiger' on the other side of the valley, or listen to the drums at a Navajo powwow with 'Jim Chee.'

I've been to many of these places before, but that was before I read about them in my books. Somehow, reading about them gives them an almost mystical aura, something special above and beyond the distant travels. I'd like to go back now, sit in the spots and re-read the stories. I used to do this with Robert Frost's poems... read them while sitting on the porch of the house he lived in in Ripton, VT., or along the walking paths where he'd stroll, stopping at a fork in the trail and look at the 'road not taken.' It really does make all the difference.

Settling in at my apartment at the vacation park. It's next to the "market square" where all the stores, most of the restaurants and the swimming pool is. My apartment also got a Turkish steam bath, which I'm going to try out tonight. Tonight I'm going to get something unhealthy for dinner at the snackbar and the relax with a movie. Tomorrow, if the weather's nice, I'm going to have a walk around the park because with all the autumn colours the parks looks great.

Congratulations on your new apartment. Your plan sounds heavenly! I stayed with a friend in Leiden, and spent most of my time in Leiden, Amsterdam, & Delft. I fell in love with the Netherlands, or at least the small slice I got to experience. Your description brings back nice memories.

It's only for 5 days since I'm on vacation.

Got up early today because included in the price was breakfast buffet which is from 08.30 until 10.30. After that I walked around the park and made lost of pictures (mostly of the beautifully coloured trees). I also made reservations for dinner tonight. No other plans today except relax and watch a dvd tonight.

100% with you both. Actually, that's another advantage of the ebook reader I hadn't considered. No dog-eared pages from an inconsiderate previous reader
