Third tea of the day. We had a small break in the rains of the past few days -- and forecast to start again tonight for a few more days -- and, after spreading a towel on the wet chair, I was able to get out on the deck. Tea seems to taste better in the sun.

Oprah Chai this morning.

We survived a thunderstorm that included power flickering on and off. We had a big storm about a month ago that knocked out power. It was in the middle of the night so not a big deal, until the Little Man woke up and there was no light. Since then, Little Man has insisted on two night lights and the hall light on. He asks every night if we are going to lose power so flickering lights was a bit stress inducing for him. I pulled out the flashlights and let him play with them for a few minutes. We discussed what would happen if we lost power. He was excited that he might get to sleep with us. Toss in a dog that refuses to leave my side during thunder storms and I had a very cozy few hours. There was a lot of snuggling so it was fine.
