Murchie's Balmoral Blend tea:
Spoiler:
This is a strong breakfast style tea that's a blend of Ceylon and Assam teas. Would handle milk with no issues, but I really quite liked it without. Brewed at 205F for 3 minutes, it made a tea with a dark red liquor, strong Assam nose, and a bright Ceylon astringency in the mouth. Very nice way to wake up. Recommended. |

After a morning of Peet's Major Dickason's Blend coffee, I'm settling down with a large pot of Murchie's #22 Blend. This is a smooth, dark, "Earl Grey" kind of tea, but with a definite sweetness to it. Well worth a try if you like the bergamot in Earl Grey but want a smoother, more floral cup. I doubt it will end up on my go-to list, since I'm not a huge fan of bergamot, but it's a good fit for an afternoon tea.

Jealous. I'm down to an inch in the bottom of the bottle.

About to brew a pot of Margaret's Hope First Flush Darjeeling. It's actually quite a good fit with my Japanese bento box lunch. (And as we both know, I'm more of a China Green than Japanese Green tea drinker. This takes me completely outside that dichotomy. ![]() |

Teavana has a pretty good Korean Green. I think it is called Jeju. It was a new one for me and it tastes pretty good. Not close to a Japanese Green but far better then most of the Chinese Greens that I have tried.
