Poor me! I went into the kitchen to fix a quick sandwich, and found that I didn't have any more peanut butter (and not enough time to grind some or go get some -- I'm cleaning out closets.) I was forced to eat Nutella on toast for lunch.

(I need to run out of peanut butter more often...)

I'm spoiled. Just discovered that canned soup really is bad when you're used to homemade....
What I'm doing is trying to stay awake and contemplating what sort of night it's likely to be at work.
It isn't the first of the month, our latest coupon book ran out yesterday, and we don't have anything else going on that I know of, so it might actually be a slow night. Nah - this will be the night all my "difficult" customers come in one right after the other...

so Aragorn (new puppy) got his first horse lesson last night. he has been fascinated by the horses from day one, I think he thinks they are REALLY big kitties. well he got kicked last night. in the head. I was just beside myself, imagining all sorts of horrid outcomes. his head and eye swelled up horrendously immediately, he was disoriented, and just... awful... so we started out the morning at the vets (new vet, not the one that killed my beautiful Piestewa). the swelling was already dramatically reduced ;o). it appears that he has bruising to his cornea which should heal nicely. thank frigging sirius! he is playing with squeaky toys and chasing kitties as I type ;o))))))

I am picking up half a steer that was raised on my friend's farm this weekend, my price works out to $2.83 a pound and I get to have my cuts the way I want them ;o)

I am working on deal number 5 ;o)

life is good ;o)

Watching/listening to Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl while working on training materials for work (tomorrow is my turn to torture the newbies! lol) and debating what I want for dinner.

Also pricing flights from KC to Dallas, so I can visit a friend in a few weeks

Well, I survived work, obviously, since I'm posting. Wasn't too bad, got to help the newbie Desk girl learn the closing procedures. Came home, started on laundry and the kitchen, ate dinner, checked the usual social networking sites, and did some more music sorting in iTunes. Now I'm listening to music (via headphones, the music is on my phone), drinking iced tea (which I'm sure i'm going to regret about 4 a.m.), and catching up here. Chris will be home in about half an hour, so I'll feed him and probably settle down with my book. (I'm currently reading Baited Blood by Sue Ann Jaffarian).

KK - glad to hear Aragorn is going to be OK! This is a step up from the usual puppy experience of getting a cat claw in the nose! Learning manners can be painful!

boy so am I!!!! I couldn't imagine dealing with another so tragedy on the heels of the other!

and I forgot to add; I am signed up for a fencing class! I haven't fenced since high school, these classes are few and far between! I wonder if my leg/knee can handle it...

Fencing classes are few and far between here, too...except there's a fencing academy just a few blocks from me, within walking distance. They meet on Sundays, apparently, and there are quite a few cars there. Maybe I should look into classes.

the school has foils, sabers, and epees. I am not going to lay out a bunch of money until I find out if the leg/knee can handle it. however, I might pick up a pair of wrestling shoes

I had a blast when I fenced. it's a very aerobic workout, yet you can completely self pace it
