I'm reading Stacy Schiff's The Revolutionary: Samuel Adams. It's a bit dry, but I like American history. When I bought it for kindle in March, it was on sale.

Which was very good. Some things are explained.

Next was Mrs Pargeter's Package by Simon Brett. The expected light mystery. Quite fun.

Next up is: The Amber Fury by Natalie Haynes. Intriguing.

I am constantly amazed at the information contained in this book as I go from page to page.

I am going on my reading every book that cross refereced in Dark Tower by Stephen King which is my favorite book (movie The Dark Tower on netflix) which leads my to Tolkien series which is a whole lot of reading.

Just finished
The Silmarillion *Rings of Power on HBOMAX*
Children of Hurin
-Next
Beren and Lúthien

Since I am a HUGE DT fan I have only not read one book UR which is at the bottom of the Tolkien books
All the books are in order from Tolkien.
Believe it or not I enjoyed The Silmarillion

I've finished what is easily one of my best books of the year, The Broken House: Growing Up Under Hitler by Horst Krüger. The title could lead you to believe that it's a bog standard memoir, chronological and straightforward, with the subtext "Guilty? Not us!" But it's much more complicated and indirect; the author said it wrote itself. Would that more books wrote themselves in such compelling, beautiful and scorching prose.

Sigh. Not available at any of my libraries.

Finished Mistworld by Simon Green. Good story but I'm not a fan of apocalyptic so won't be continuing this series. Science Fiction.

Current is Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas. This is a book I bought for my late sister so I'm plopping in the middle of the series. Fantasy.

I finished Armor of Light by Follet, a good addition to the Kingsbridge series. Not sure what is up next; I have three choices. Probably Sea of Tranquility by Mandel. Just purchased Our Woman in Moscow, a spy thriller by Williams. After one of those two up next will be The Night Watchman.

Currently reading (and very much enjoying) the new Foreigner book from CJ Cherryh, Defiance. Number 22 in this wonderful series.

Thanks to a gift card I'd forgotten I had, I picked up Charles Watt's Revolution: The Rise of Arteta's Arsenal for a good price at Kobo today. An interesting read to help me toward my goal of reading at least 10% nonfiction this year.

A good story with Greek Myths in the background.
And a sound lesson in why vengeance based justice is a bad idea.

Then I read Sunreach, ReDawn and Evershore by Brandon Sanderson & Janci Patterson

A most enjoyable look at other characters in the Skyward Flight stories.

Next up: One Last Heist by Lyndon Hardy

The question is "which football"?

It amuses me to yank the chains of British English speakers who insist that "soccer" is an Americanism by reminding them that the word was invented in the UK

Which was an enjoyable light story set in his "Master of Five Magics" universe.

There were a few typos which I reported and got a positive response back, so hopefully they'll be sorted soon.

Next up: Someday the Rabbi will Leave by Harry Kemelman. Part of a re-read of this excellent set of mystery novels.
