I don't think so. If you search for "sailing to sarantium" at amazon.com then you get a list of possibilities. And here the price is $1.99 for the Kindle edition. (also today)

If you then select the Kindle edition then you come to the main page of the book and the price is changed to $16.24

Don't understand well what you mean. This is what I see. I already bought it a couple of days ago, but the price is staying the same. Wish the book 2 was reduced as well. Oh well....

Price can very much depend on where you are in the world (or at least where Amazon thinks you are) and what publisher has rights for that area.

But you're not in Denmark. Prices vary from country to country. It may be, for example, that you're seeing a version of the book from a US publisher while svenlind is seeing a UK version, or vice versa.

Or they may both be the same edition (we need the ASIN to know) but the publisher has set different prices for different countries.

A quick look at the EU stores shows prices about 7 EUR inc VAT

As I mentioned earlier I was presented with a list of possibilities when I searched for "sailing to..".
Here the price was $1.99. I then tried to "Buy now with 1-click". But in vain, the price changed to $16.24 and I was told that prices of books can vary from country to country. I was not charged however.

After writing this I looked once more and now the price is $2.49 that is $1.99 plus 25% Danish VAT. I then bought the book.
