I saw your post and have to ask about it because I'm also in the US and would love to order the H2O. I looked at the return policy at chapters.indigo.ca and it says "Kobo eReaders must be returned to one of our Chapters, Indigo or Coles stores." Have you ever had to return an ereader?
I have never yet had to return a Kobo bought online from Chapters/Indigo. I'll be interested to see a reply from anyone who has.

You have 15 days after purchase to return to Chapters. After that, it is a Kobo warranty issue and you have to contact Kobo customer service and if they agree to replace it, you have to mail the unit to Kobo. They do send a prepaid mailing sticker.

I just submitted the question on the Chapters/Indigo website. It says I should get an answer within 24 hours.

Apparently, some of the info in their help section is quite out of date because before it submitted my question it pointed me to another page that said that as of 2010 they could not yet ship Kobo ereaders to the US but they hoped to be able to in a few months.

That's not bad at all. I'm perfectly satisfied with that arrangement. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, my only purchase options is direct from Kobo or through small independent booksellers. Full MSRP for me then.

I have tried both Coolreader & Koreader on the H2O, but could not get either to work. I tried both using fmon, but they both gave unnresponsive menus. Then my old favourite, Start Menu, which gave an unresponsive and upside-down menu. And lastly I tried advboot, which gave the alternative start modes, but when I touched koreader, it gave an unresponsive file menu.
