I got $24.09 back in the settlement from Amazon! That's way more than I was expecting! unfortunately I bought most of my Agency books from BOB sooo I lost out on more.

It seems that I already used some of my credit it was issued on the 12th. I guess it's not optional when you want to use it, it works like a gift card. So remember that if you buy a ebook it will come off that amount.

Darn, I missed the Anne Stuart freebie from yesterday. I could swear I checked the thread, must have been later.

But I did get a $62 credit . Now why do I want to spend it like right away. Its a sickness I think.

Yeah it was sorry. I wasn't able to get on till later that night to check for freebies and FreeReads wasn't working for me till then so I almost missed it.

Amazon doesn't give you a choice to save your settlement credit. Any ebook you buy goes toward the amount. You might want to check when it was issued mine was on the 12th so I was spending it without knowing.

You can check by going to a ebook page and clicking the promo link then the Eligible link to see how much you really have used.

Not your fault Blossom, without you and others here I wouldn't have gotten a lot of the good freebies and sales. Every time I try to find freebies on my own I fail. At least at finding the good stuff, all I ever find is the crap.

If my Settlement Credit was issued on March 13, 2014 why does it tell me it's all unused? Is this effective as of today?

Now I need to buy something to test this.

Only certain ebooks are eligible for the credit. Pre-order aren't neither are some other books. I bought Blue Blood which was sold by Harpercollins last week it went toward it without me knowing.

I just spent $55 on a refill call for my new cell phone that mom got me. We are trying to tighten the budget so the current cell provider has to go. $210 a month is just too much. Hubby has been ill on and off these past few weeks which means if it wasn't for Swagbucks I wouldn't be able to buy anything. The new cell is prepaid and is $45 a month so that's going to help out alot in the long run if it works out. They use the same towers so I'm hoping it does.

This book credit couldn't have come at a better time for me. Too bad it didn't go toward the $8 book I bought this morning. Pre-orders don't seem to count.

That is strange. I bought several books since the 12th, the date it says on my settlement page. It says there also that it is good on any publisher. I just double checked and I bought a Carina Press, a self published and a amazon montlake title. They all came out of my gift card. I really hope this doesn't mean my gift card has to be at 0 before I can use this credit? I always have a GC on my account and I just filled it up.

I need to find a book to buy to test this. Why can't I find anything right now that the credit is burning a hole in my account. I am weird.

I can tell you any book by the publishers that are part of the settlement will count and if it's says:

This item is eligible for this promotion:
Settlement Credit

Then it should be taken off of that amount.

Did you file a claim by the deadline? Those are supposed to go out as checks in the next few days.

Since that date I've purchased $16.96 worth of Kindle books, guess they were mostly indies? Maybe?

We will automatically apply this credit to your next purchase of any Kindle book or a print book sold by Amazon.com, regardless of publisher.

ETA: So how do you search by "Settlement Credit"?

I have no clue I know I bought 5 books last week. Only one was taken out of the credit. One book for $2.99 was from Harpercollins and the other 4 was KDP books for $0.99 each.

Maybe they will add them in later or maybe they didn't have it fully implemented till now.

That is why I am so confused, it says "regardless of publisher". I still haven't found a book where it says anything on the book page about the settlement being available.
