Since you haven't received an answer (yet) from someone with a skin and a Sony case, I'll go ahead and guess that it will fit. I don't have a Sony case, but the skin is as thin as any sticker and the front skin is only applied to the face of the device, not the side. You don't have to apply the back skin if you don't want to. From pictures that I've seen of the cover, it doesn't look like it extends onto the face to a great extent.

Thank you very much! I had still been looking in vain and yours is literally the first photo I've seen with that color combo. Thanks again for taking the time, it's extremely helpful!

Hey. I want the same thing as carpetmojo. Something I can throw into my rucksack without worrying. But really without worrying... I want to be able to sit on my pack on an island in a Nicaraguan lake. And waterproof is a plus, I want to balance on fallen logs over rivers without worrying about falling in! Any advice on how to make my reader indestructible?

Noreve Case
I just received the Noreve case for the T1. I ordered it in 'Dark Vintage', which is a high quality black nubuck leather. You can order the case in four different kinds of leather and in many different colors. It is very well made and fits the T1 perfectly with absolutely no wasted space. The Reader slides into the case and is held in place by the rails, which are also covered with leather. The back of the case where the Reader slides in is actually metal formed to the contour of the T1. The front is nicely padded and quite rigid. The case should provide plenty of protection. The front folds back easily and can be held open by the magnetic snap that also holds the case closed. All in all a nice bit of kit. The leather feels and smells wonderful. Please follow the link for pictures. BTW the T1 does have the matte black skin.

I just got this travel case for my T1. Case is for a Kindle, and just a shy wide, so good place for the stylus. Not as stiff as I'd hoped, but fits well, and offers plenty of protection in all but extreme situations; $11 delivered:

Any opinions on the Gecko Luxe vs the Tuff-Luv Book Style Case? Or any other recommendations for cases which do not use corner straps to secure the ereader?

It's pretty hard to have a valid opinion on one vs the other if you don't have both - but I'll try. I have the Gecko Luxe and I like it a lot. One thing I noticed looking at the picture of the Tuff-Luv is that the leather is cut away from the buttons at the bottom. This is probably a good idea, as on mine the leather sort of makes a ridge along the bottom of the buttons, making them a little harder to use. But not so hard that I'd throw it away to buy a Tuff-Luv

I got my T1 yesterday and the cover arrived today. I got the Sony standard cover because I found a good deal on Amazon and I had a gift card balance there.
![]() I really like the way the reader fits into the cover, but I don't like the rest of it at all. I'll probably use the mount tray to make my own cover - basically cut off the front flap and put the tray inside something else. I'm off to find something around the house - a book or journal or something similar - that I can cannibalize for that purpose. ![]() |
