Chatting with the customer service of Adobe to get my old Sony eReader unregistered so my sister can register it.

Done. Don't know why they don't put these steps up on their website since it's so easy.

Stella (the kitten) woke up early this morning .... decided she was hungry .... decided to share this with the other cats ... who all shared this with me .... through the bedroom door .... kind of a furry dawn chorus ....

So .... I'm at work really early today ...

LOL, very recognisable! Nikita often wakes us up when she thinks it's time for breakfast. Lexie usually doesn't join in unless it's really late, but Nikita trying to wake you up is the equivalent of 3 normal cats. Luckily, now she's getting older Kita likes to sleep late so we aren't woken up at 6am anymore. On Saturday night my mother gives the cats a little bit of kibble before she goes to bed, that way we can sleep late on Sunday.

Now that I'm getting more serious about running (10 miles next april is the big goal), I finally bought a heart rate monitor to monitor and 'guide' my workouts a bit more. I was surfing the interwebs to find some more information about the best workout-intensity for different types of training, when I came across this perceived exertion scale someone made up:

Quote:
Level 1: I'm watching TV and eating bon bons
Level 2: I'm comfortable and could maintain this pace all day long
Level 3: I'm still comfortable, but am breathing a bit harder
Level 4: I'm sweating a little, but feel good and can carry on a conversation effortlessly
Level 5: I'm just above comfortable, am sweating more and can still talk easily
Level 6: I can still talk, but am slightly breathless
Level 7: I can still talk, but I don't really want to. I'm sweating like a pig
Level 8: I can grunt in response to your questions and can only keep this pace for a short time period
Level 9: I am probably going to die
Level 10: I am dead
After which he says:
Quote:
working at a level 10 isn't recommended for most workouts

I like his scale though, it's a lot easier to use than the Borg scale.

Great goal to have something to work towards . I have been running with a GPS watch for a couple of years and it's great to keep track of distance and speed. As for the heart rate monitor I don't use it as much. I run in a tempo that I know I can sustain without stopping along the way and I don't do interval training where I think a heart rate monitor is more useful. I run my set out distance and it takes the time it takes

I get to go see a coworker's twin babies today I'm also picking up a "spare" playpen/crib that she has (I can't imagine having spare anything with twins in the house, but she swears it's true), to use with Toryn while she's here the next two weeks Yes, as a matter of fact, I AM excited!

Very nice chart! I realize that I can reach Level 7 without ever leaving the couch.

One is a boy and one is a girl...they're fraternal twins. They don't really look alike at all, either, LOL. Even at five weeks old they distinctly have their own looks and personalities.

I'm using the Nike+ GPS app on my iPhone while running, which monitors pace and distance by GPS. That's how I noticed that my pace is all over the place, and I need something te help me keep a more even pace. And it really is very helpful for interval training, which I do once a week.

It's a great goal, but I have a long way to go yet ... I usually run 5 to 7 km in a single 'training' session, I have to get that up to 16 km. But I have a great schedule, so I'll get there (in about 40 weeks hopefully!)
