True. Having children helped with that.
The PBM was happy when the brontosaurus was reinstated. |

Distinct from the Apatosaurus since 2015... and deservedly so. It must be quite a feat to determine a difference from fossilised skeletal structure alone.
TPBM has sampled the delights of a "sticky toffee pudding". |

I've had a few of them. Some were good, some were so-so. At one local restaurant the pudding was good but the custard was almost inedible.
The PBM has made an Eton Mess. |

I don't make desserts. Happily eat desserts made by others.

The legend of the shadow on groundhog day is an interesting proposition. Supposedly, if the groundhog sees its shadow, winter will last for six more weeks. But, if it doesn't see its shadow, we'll have an early spring. The problem is -- in my neighborhood at least -- only six more weeks of winter would still be an early spring.
So, no. It's harmless fun, but I'm not a believer. TPBM is a birdwatcher. |

Not on any regular basis. I used to have a friend who was an enthused birdwatcher and I went with him on several occasions to take photos but they moved to Saskatoon.

I enjoy standing by rivers staring off into the middle distance. I can take or leave any actual fishing.

I hate any and all manual labor, and that includes gardening.
PBM loves at least some traditional foods of their country. |

Depends. I hate foie gras, both for the taste and for the methods of producing it. I rather like ordinary liver.
PBM would like to be vegetarian, but enjoys the taste of meat too much. |

Sadly true. If <insert deity of your choice> did not mean us to eat meat, they wouldn't have made it so delicious.
The PBM has tried removing meat from their diet on more than one occasion. Last edited by DNSB; 02-02-2024 at 04:25 PM. Reason: Remove not before removing. Shades of the Wicked Bible! |

No, never. I couldn't live without meat, even though I always feel like a terrible hypocrite joining various petitions for the welfare of farm animals/birds. In an ideal world we would grow something looking and tasting like real meat without needing to butcher other living beings, but I'm afraid that world is still pretty far away (and insects would be no better substitute - they are living beings as well, so raising them for their protein would be no more ethical than any other animals).
PBM has accepted they are nowhere near the best person they could be. |

Lots and lots of freckles. Fortunately, it doesn't bother me. Not something I'd change if my fairy godmother showed up.

I do watch them every year - this year is going to be a Swiftie-palooza - I'm dreading the cringeworthy coverage
TPBM does watch the Super Bowl commercials. |
