Good morning everyone! Happy Thursday! Today I raise my cup of East India Company's "Assam" tea to Margaret of France, whose birthday we celebrate today. I don't think many people even know her name today, but she was an important Court figure back in 1500's. Queen, she was, twice actually, as she also married King Henry III of Navarre while she was already Queen of France. Well done, Maggie!

Good morning, everyone! It's another Saturday, and the meeting of the Chiang Mai Fencing Club. We've gained two new adult members as of last week, both very enthusiastic about getting in shape and learning how to fence. One is a avid chess play so should turn into a VERY serious opponent in a very short time. Fencing is more about thinking than moving, although obviously there is a LOT of moving going on!

I have East India Company's "Royal Breakfast" tea in my cup today, but will limit myself to just one big mug. It's easier to stay hydrated while fencing if I drink less tea and more water with Rehydration Powder mixed in. We tried an experiment, weighing our dry uniforms before fencing, then weighing them again after playing, and discovered we are losing an average of two kilo of water/sweat! THAT is exertion!
