The only option you have is to turn off headers/footers. That's a Kobo option. Nothing to do with the KTE driver.

hello, this is a great plugin but unfortunately it seems to remove all collection data - I use collections organise my epubs, eg, by genre (tags) and language, but the newly imported kobo epubs are not present in any of the collections on my reader.
is there any way I can import as a kobo epub but retain these features?
sorry if this has already been addressed, I searched but couldn't find a suitable answer (at least not one I understood)

You need to configure the driver.

Go to Preferences > Plugins. Search for KoboTouchExtended. Next click on Customize plugin. Click the Collections, covers & uploads tab. Then check Collections and Collections columns:. Now put in the columns you use for collections.. Also check Create collections and Delete empty collections.

That's all there is to do.

thanks, that is what I thought, but for some reason it wasn't working yesterday - all fine now

just for clarity, when entering the name of the column, should the name of the column have a # or not?

Not all columns should have a #. Only the custom columns. I have tags as a column for collections without the #.

It follows the same rules that other places: custom columns include #, default columns no.

Also keep in mind that Kobo requires a second sync after books are sent for some metadata. Typically you need to send books to the device, eject and let the Kobo process the books, then reconnect to calibre and let it sync again to update metadata.

Metadata management needs to be set to automatic.

Preferences > Sending books to devices > Metadata management

Can this plugin be used to convert the epubs to Kepubs when using the send via email?
Can this be added as a feature in the future if is not possible at this time?

Does this recognise a Kobo Elipsa 2E? It isn't in the read me as supported but I wondered if that was just an oversight? thx

It supports anything calibre supports at a basic level, but custom styles for each device need to be added. I kinda fell behind on keeping up with devices.
