I've got such a sweet sister!
Since Saturday I've trying to get my father to get a credit card again. This has to be done subtly otherwise he'll dig his heels in and do the opposite. I haven't had much success yet. Last night my sister told me she is going to the bank today to see if she can get a credit card, mainly for her holiday next month, and if she gets one I can use it to get a Kindle!

Actors in the Star Trek series experienced a similar problem - their uniforms were made of stretchy wool fabric (about the same weight as band uniforms) - which they wore 12 - 18 hours/day under hot lights. After a few weeks, they had to be replaced - no amount of laundering could get the rank sweat smell out of the fabric.

It's not sweat that causes the problem. There is a bit of water often moving through a wetsuit, especially if you give a small tug at your collar. (That's why they call it a 'wetsuit,' vs a 'drysuit' that's used for cold water diving.)
It's hard to take off a wetsuit when you're 110 feet underwater and you have to pee... and everyone has to pee when they jump into the pool.

Fortunately, scuba diving is the one activity where it's OK to pee in your uniform... as long as you are not still in the boat.

Then a couple of tugs at the collar to clean it out and you're good to travel. It's the remaining bacteria that create the problems after a few days. "Sink-the-Stink" is sold in every dive shop just for this purpose.

Trust me on this one... It doesn't work as well as we might hope.

The water was a bit murky for a good photo, but you get the idea...

Fortunately, people aren't really good shark food, especially when there are plenty of little fishies around.
(Right after this shot, her tank slipped out of the rental BCD strap, so we had more to deal with than just sharks. This is why I don't care for rental equipment!)

Getting ready to fast for my pre-physical blood work. Tomorrow morning I'll be taking the Kindle to the doctor's office.

ARe you diving in fresh water? Our wetsuits didn't get really stinky and I used to pee in the water all the time. Although we were living on the boat so we washed them out in salt water when we came back to the boat and later (sometimes weeks later)with laundry detergent when we were in port or a fresh water place for laundry.

Maybe yours don't get a chance to dry between dives

A couple of reefies won't bite you too hard!

Although losing your tank is a pain especially as I see it as the best way to blunt a sharky tooth when he comes in for a bite!

I usually dive salt water, and always warm salt water. I don't EVER want to dive where I need even a 7mm wet suit! I do wear a dive skin under my shorty, but that's only for protection against jellies and hydroids. Once stung, twice shy... The suits do get a good rinse after every dive, but they never do get a chance to dry. We usually make three dives a day at the minimum, and on live-aboards, will do five or six every day. At the end of a trip they get a thorough washing with detergent, then a long soak in "Sink-the-Stink."

I never mind one or two, but when diving in Palau we dropped down into the middle of about 50.

For the most part they just ignore us, but do become a bit aggressive when I try to move in closer for a better photo.
THAT is when I learned that pee doesn't scare away the sharks! I'll stick with the attache case...

LOL - I actually get annoyed if I get called in early or on time for my appointment these days, as it interrupts my "me" (reading) time.

Yesterday the computer store called that I could pick up my notebook. I didn't have time yesterday so I got it just now. It was overheating and they have replaced the complete cooling system. I asked how I can properly clean the fans/vents but with my notebook you have to take it apart to do so. Best thing was that it was covered by the warranty so I didn't have to pay anything.

Tonight I'm going to test it, it'll be great to be able to watch films on my notebook again instead of on my 7" portable dvd player.

It's a public holiday here today due to municipal elections. Just got back from the voting station so I'm going to relax for the rest of the day.
