Good morning, everyone! Happy Ides of March! A good day to lay low if you are in a position of power. We've decided to go furniture shopping instead. You never hear of anyone getting stabbed in the bedding department, do you? We like to play it safe.

I've got some East India Company's 'Royal Breakfast' tea in my mug, and just waiting for the rice to finish cooking before we sit down to eat. It will be a typical Japanese breakfast today, something we haven't had in a few weeks, so time to revisit. Then it's off the the 'Street of Furniture Shops,' two dozen stores all owned by Indian families, side by side, and all offering really cheap furniture of every size, shape, and color. We just need a couple of shelving units to replace a fridge and TV we got rid of. Nothing big or fancy.

Well, let's see. Finished my morning fresh squeezed OJ. Put about 7 kg. of cured pork belly in the smoker to finish off this round of bacon. Now enjoying a mug of Peet's Major Dickason's blend coffee while I sit here pretending to work.

Wheat free beer. Very good, actually.

I would expect it to be. Classically, beer doesn't have wheat, but only hops, malted barley, yeast and water. Everything else added is simply an additive to that basic recipe.

Drinking cranberry lemonade right now.

I used to drink a lot of Dutch Wheat Beer, which as the name implies does have wheat. I possibly should have more correctly said gluten-free, which most barley based beer isn't.

Anyway, I now have a gluten-free glass of red wine in front of me
