Well KK - you were completely right about the kitty holster! I pick it up & show it to Stella & she runs over & holds still for me to strap it on her. Then she runs down the back steps to the driveway and over to the bird feeders - where she intimidates the squirrels! We're practicing going up & down the driveway, more or less together, to get her used to cars & other folk going by. Then into the lawn! She loves to snack on grass.
Fun for both of us.
When we come back inside, she sits by the door and whimpers for a while!

I am very glad that you are both safe, but try to get enough sleep.

If you intend relocating, get maps, find out flood plains etc. Take it slowly.

I used to keep a square of grass sod growing on the veranda for the cat. I discovered that she prefers to eat new oat seedlings so now I plant a new tray (the sort that one uses under a plant pot) of that every two weeks. She uses the sod grass to lie on for sunbathing.

haha! awesome! I bought Strider a doggie tshirt (yes I will post pictures later) because he keeps "wearing" the plastic bags. I hadn't considered at the time that he might think it is a new kind of holster. he REALLY wants to go out now! but it is raining. *sigh* I am going to have to associate another behaviour with this. so far we have had a LOT of treats!
