It's a lot milder than regular mustard (if by regular you mean what we call English). It does work quite well with mayonnaise and olive oil as a dressing for pasta salad, but you do need rather a lot of it to get much taste (the yeti got some to try with salt beef recently - neither of us like it as a mustard, so we're trying to think of ways of using it so we don't end up binning it and chalking it up to experience)

We have both Savora and French's mustards here and they're no the same at all. French's is vinegry with a hint of bitterness as Savora is mostky sweet vinegar. But there is a similarity.

Personnaly I despise both of them but that's my tastes. I'd rather have the European classic strong rustic mustard with the crushed grain and I choose a type with less salt. Or a powdered type that French's sells here for cooking purposes. This last one would be nice in your recipe Tom...
