Wanda McCaddon is the real name of Nadia May; she records under both names as well as a third, Donada Peters. Juliet Stevenson is another excellent narrator of the classics, so I don't see how you could go wrong with either.

The version I abandoned was read by Michael Page.

One of the libro.fm freebies, Tangerine, is practically brand-new (long wait lists at my libraries) and quite good--atmospheric and Hitchcockian. It's one of my favorites so far this year.

I looked up the following information about Searching for Stars, for my own benefit, so I might as well pass it on . . . .

Searching for Stars is a bestseller at Amazon, but garners only 3.4 stars, from 7 reviews. That's not a large enough "sample" to be valid, however.

The fact that deserves much more attention is that it receives a 4.11, from 46 ratings, at GoodReads. As I've said before (hopefully, not to the point of being annoying) GoodReads raters, for some reason, almost always give lower ratings than those at Amazon. 4.11 is an excellent rating for the crew at GoodReads.

The reason for the low number of reviews at Amazon is probably due to the fact that Amazon apparently gives ratings for the current edition of this book--it was published just this past March--while GoodReads apparently gives the aggregate ratings for the "6 editions" of this book.

If the March publication was a new edition of the book, and not just a new printing of the book, this is a good thing. The author is a theoretical physicist, and even though the book appears to be his personal musings, or even random thoughts, newer is better for books related to physics, because knowledge in that field grows so rapidly.

You may have "picked up" on the fact that I'm seriously considering purchasing this audiobook. I am.

Wanda McCaddon is the real name of Nadia May. She narrates under several aliases. So yes, that is the same narrator, though it might not be the same production.
