I was having a MEH morning, so decided to try something a bit different for my morning tea - Peet's Winter Solstice Blend tea, with a nice dollop of honey. Quite a change from my usual: "Premium-quality black teas with spices, vanilla and citrus", and I never add a sweetener. However, the combination was just right this morning.

Now, back to a more typical Lion Mountain Keemun.

I'll be having Coffee and Milk with toast. (I originally planned to do a french toast, or even glam it up with strawberry cream cheese). But it's a groggy (and hungry) morning. The more delicious dish would be put aside to another day)

First mug of tea while my son packs up to return to school. Normally I drive him on these long trips -- about 200 miles each way -- but my wife hasn't seen his place in a while, so she volunteered. The weather forecasts aren't too bad, aside from the cold.

I'll be heading to the doctor to get the report on my feet. I'm really hoping to resume hiking this spring!

Good morning, everyone! Happy Tuesday! Do you realize that today marks the birthday of Gōgen Yamaguchi, the man responsible for spreading Gōjū-ryū karate through out the western world? Pretty impressive, eh? This style of karate is known for its dynamic power, and Yamaguchi made a name for himself by one-punching a charging bull, knocking it senseless... a necessary skill to have unless you live in a metro area. His nickname was 'The Cat,' which makes almost as much sense. Felicity couldn't knock out a small bag of kibble. But she's smart... She doesn't even try.

I have a nice mug of Taylors of Harrogate's "English Breakfast" tea in my mug this morning, and it's the perfect companion to a beautiful sunrise. Unfortunately, it's too foggy this morning for a beautiful sunrise, but if it were one, I'd be ready.

Peet's English Breakfast Blend tea. Though I'm going to have to remember to stop at the store in Sechelt and pick up some Taylors of Harrogate's "English Breakfast". Even though I think they only have the tea bag version...

Back to classic Premium Green Tea. I miss it so much! I think I'll skip over the barley drink for the rest of the week. There is absolutely no drink in this world that soothes me more than Green Tea (maybe except for chamomile)
