![]() You might want to sing it note for note Don't worry be happy In every life we have some trouble When you worry you make it double Don't worry, be happy ![]() ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-diB65scQU ) Good morning, everyone! Happy Friday! Sun's up, Ahmad's 'English Breakfast' tea is in my cup, and it's going to be another delightful day in the Land of Smiles. How can it not be, when you live in a city known as 'The Rose of North,' in 'The Land of Smiles?' Actually I seem to recall seeing Maggi in quite a few places in Europe . Are you everever going to answer my question about Taiwan? The rain has been coming down like a cow pissing on a rock all day. And it's been a looooong day. Started out with a breakfast meeting at 0700, ended shortly after 10 after which I walked across the street for an 11:00 meeting that went until 1:30 after which I walked 2 blocks away for a 2;00 committee meeting that I had to leave at 3:30 to go to the next town down for an MRI. When the MRIs were done on my knee they would load me feet first with my eyes just barely peeking out. For this one it was Just as bad as the one on my neck so many years ago. All the clanging and bumping and whirring, not to mention the heat that comes in! And of course the "bed" you lie on is like concrete! It's kind of like; "hey you guuuuuuys! This is the screwed up part of my bod, and you want me to la on it? And not twitch? Riiiight." The one thing I have found that kind of helps is that I ask for a handtowel. I spread it across my hips, hold it by diagonal corners, and really pull down with both hands. It helps fight the inner fight or flight demons gives me something to focus on when every yummy bit of my face and nose get itchy, and last but not least is something to really focus on when the noises get really awful. So anyway, out of the house at 0630. Back a little suet 1830, and I'm headed for the brandy |

I'm having Barley drink again. I think I've finally gotten the flavor of the Maggi noodles (it was among the package from my friend; she knows my love for all the spicy goodness in life). The flavor should be Curry. I remember it being orange. I even asked her about it because there were other colors/flavor but I like Curry the most.

The word 'Curry'The derives from kari, a Tamil word meaning sauce and referring to various kinds of dishes common all over Asia. A 'curry' is just any blend of herbs and spices in a thick sauce. There are Indian curries, Thai curries, Malaysian curries, Indonesian curries, and even Chinese and Japanese curries. (You do NOT want to try the Japanese curries... More like brown wallpaper paste but with less flavor!) For each one of these countries, there are 4-10 different 'standard' curries, to say nothing of 'special' ones that Grandma makes herself. Thai curries taste VERY different from Indian curries, and Thai Yellow Curry tastes VERY different from Thai Red Curry, etc., etc. Each of THESE round trays is a different type of Thai curry... ![]() Totally different flavor for each! Good afternoon. Finishing up a mug of Peet's Major Dickason's Blend coffee, and about to drink a cup of my custom blended Russian Caravan style blend tea. Perfect for a gray and drizzly day.

![]() My Scotch palate -- for whatever reason -- will change abruptly -- so I have to keep a medley of bottles at hand -- to be able to switch as needed -- no clue why this happens -- but right now Talisker Storm tastes 'sweet' to me. |
