You could try this:

docker stop pigallery2

docker rm pigallery2

PS: are your running the 32bits RaspiOS or the 64 bits version?

back from a great concert!

Before I left yesterday I tried - apart - to install photoprism again following a description from the net and: It worked. The interface runs at 192.168.178.20:xxxx and - of course due to the huge amount of pictures - photoprism still indicates pics and folders.

Guess the procedure will finish in 2-3 hours, will report then

photoprism indicates all >14,000 pics that are present at the browser's interface in folders. I guess that fulfills my requirements so far

Now I have to make a course how to share folders and pictures by creating and sending links and to make them private and/or public

For my personal liking it's a bit all or just to little (still better than all or nothing).

1 - Regular users can see everything and can download everything. You want that? A bit much perhaps?
2 - Shared with password can see only shared albums, but cannot download (and that is what you want?)

I would setup another instance of pigallery2 on another Pi (or the same pi with other ports) that point only to a few directories you want to share and give your friends a (regular) user and password. so they can only see and download the directories with pictures you want them to use.

Experiment a bit with the settings.......

PS: What artists were in the concert? I'm not a jazz guy, but I like to discover (for me) new music.

We had a concert at Husum with Daniel Hope (violin) and his "Zürich Chamber Orchestra" together with Nils Landgren (Leader of the SFMF Jazz section), norwegian trombone player who brought a pianist and drummer with him, so we had music from L. Bernstein, George Gershwin & Sting - it was a great evening - have a 3 minutes look at

Back to photoprism: Correct, that I cannot share a single folder without making all other visible. I did not found out how to share an album with password?! Could you help? It would be ok in the first step just to make the single album visible and then send the interested a zip-file by mail...

Second suggestion is also a good idea, as I have two PIs running - I probably install the program on the other, too

The question remains: Why does this program works and Pigalley2 doesn't?

I tried out to share a folder with me (within the home Network) and opened the link on a tablet - I just see the content of this folder (and nothing else) without a password and: I can download this folder and its content. I tried out to make the whole content visible: no chance?!
