When I hit the button to place my order, a blank page popped up. Refreshing gave me a page stating my cart was empty. Checking further showed I had no recent orders. This is the first time I've had my shopping cart vaporized at any store. So I called CS for help. Long story short, the rep said more stock would arrive later this week and she noted on my account that I would still get the sale price of $24 each plus the 15% discount.

Maybe someone else clicked a Nano second before you and completed the sale first. I do like Target's solution to your problem.

Could be, but if it's in my cart, it should be reserved for me until my order is placed (within a reasonable amount of time, like 30-60 minutes).

I went from "I'll never allow one of those newfangled listening devices in my house" to "I want an Echo Dot in every room". Being a decades long computer engineer concerned about privacy and security I initially viewed these "toys" with skepticism. But over the last year of owning them (now eight of them!) I have changed my mind. Massively helpful when cooking the Thanksgiving meal - we had tons of different food timers going in parallel. We're instructing the things to do something helpful for us all the time now. A home intercom system that stretches across houses in different states? No problem. Buy 'em on sale - like right now - otherwise they're a little too expensive.

I just traded in my second Dot 2 for a Dot 3; no 25 percent off this time, just the $5 gift card. Both are being sent to me unregistered, and the plan now is to keep one and give one as a gift. I think I'm done now with Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

In addition to the two Dot upgrades, I got the 10-inch Fire tablet and a Roku Ultra for myself, and a CD/book set as a gift--all from Amazon. Outside of Amazon, I bought myself a framed art print, signed up for the Hulu deal, and ordered a gift box of spices (which really is going to be a gift).

The only thing I bought at Amazon were the mSD cards. The Echos came from Target and the laptop from Best Buy.

All of my book devices are still in great working order, so no need to update them.

After failing to deliver my Thanksgiving orders on Saturday because of an "incorrect delivery address," UPS left them in my driveway in the pouring rain yesterday, not even stuck in a plastic bag. By the time I discovered them, the cartons were sodden. The contents (only some of which were plastic wrapped) seemed unhurt, but this could be a long season with UPS if this proves to be typical.

My usual UPS driver will put packages on a small covered side porch. All their temps and subs leave things by the uncovered front door, even in the rain. No matter that the side porch is actually fewer steps from the driveway. I've started using the Amazon locker delivery instead, since there are now 2 nearby locker locations.

I am lucky in that I am self employed and I have everything delivered to my store. There is always someone there during business hours. Since my store is a jewelry store they do not leave anything outside after hours or give them to the stores next to me. They just make another attempt the next day. I picked up a gift for my wife on Friday, from Amazon, and even choose no rush shipping for the digital credit. Amazon said it would be delivered by December 4th. It shipped Friday and was delivered Monday. I ordered two mSD cards Monday and also choose no rush shipping. They are also scheduled to be delivered December 4th, but have not shipped yet. Go figure.

I've been shopping dash cams for a few months. Everyone recommended Rexing but I could never find one on sale - until yesterday. Amazon had $50 off the $169 V2 model, plus a $20 coupon for net $99. If I keep it that will be my big prize for this BF season.
