Ditto! The HEA and rather a lot less violence is exactly why this is my preferred genre at the moment.
I bought the bundle when it was on sale last year. It the first bundle I have bought that isn't in order. I almost finished with book two. Book three is Robbie and Lizzie's story I am so looking forward to it!

The Naked Duke as first I thought the hero was too nice but then when it I found out why then I thought he was adorable! The villain though was super creepy!

I totally agree on her writing style. Book two which I'm almost finished with, I about choked on my drink on the love scene where the Charles and Emma finally get together.

My books are my escape so they must have happily ever after that means no Nicholas sparks books. If someone says have a hanky ready I know to skip that book. I love books that make laugh and some do make me cry but the ending always leaves me with either a sigh or shaking of my head.

Not too many HQ historicals on sale there are few that are low enough. There are a few 84 cents ones. Right now I am just doing 49 cents and a lot of nickle books.

I usually find a plot I like then go to Amazon find the Kindle version and read the excerpt by clicking on the cover of the book. If the first paragraphs grab me. I buy it if not I move on.

I really like Sharon Sala Justice Way's series. It's what got me hooked! My favorite by her is When You Call My Name. Wow! That one is really good! The first in the series isn't in ebook yet but well worth finding a used copy to read first.
Thanks Blossom. I love your idea about reading the excerpt. I just got home and will start with Sharon Sala. I noticed other author recommendations. I am at 83 books and still clicking. I may never see the light of day.

You guys are so bad for me...I haven't actually purchased yet, but I have 100 books on my wish list now.

Anyone want to make some specific recs on some more regency/georgian period and also any contemporary's that have older hero's in the sense that the age difference is a conflict to get over?

This is so addictive. I keep going back to hunt for more interesting titles. So far I've bought a bunch of Bombshell titles, a couple of titles by Carly Phillips (a couple of her titles are a nickle a piece now) and some other books that looked interesting. Thanks to this thread I keep finding more titles that sound interesting.

Thanks for the mention of Carly Phillips. I add her book Brazen to my wishlist. The other ones at a nickle my library has the bundle so I jumped on the queue for that. I read a few of her books. I didn't care for Under The Boardwalk. I felt the hero needed to be seriously slapped for making the heroine feel bad about moving away from her con artist family and trying to live a normal life. C'mon what cop would do that?!? Ah well her other books are much better.

I need to stop following this thread! I've seen several more interesting recommendations come up and have finished reading a few of my recent category purchases. Category romance is new to me but I've found them to be very enjoyable treadmill/elliptical fodder. Foolish not to load up @ 20 for $1!

Off to empty my wish list again.
