I also observed that the animals stop to respond to other common behaviours of their species.
dogs attacking other dogs regardless of submission pose taken etc. are usually the neutered ones. it destroys far more instinctive behaviour than sex-drive only.
IMO it should be prohibited in favour of vasectomy.

I agree. Unfortunately, too many people get their male dogs neutered for the purpose of "calming them down" rather than just to prevent procreation, and a vasectomy wouldn't accomplish that. If vasectomy was an option, I'd do that with my (real) dog because then I wouldn't have to worry about him knocking up a prize-winning poodle if he ever gets loose.

While there are dogs that exhibit undesirable behaviors that can be "cured" by neutering, a large majority of those dogs would be cured with proper training and consistency rather than surgery.

Females, on the other hand, can be a different story. I've seen female dogs go absolutely bonkers when in heat, carrying out a desperate destruction of anything they can get to. Kind of like humans, now that I think about it.
