Call support back. I have found that the support staff is NOT well trained.

Last year, when my PRS-600 went funky after a couple of weeks, they shipped me a new one, but charged me, until they got the defective one back.

Only problem was, the support person promised my overnight Sat delivery as I was heded out of the country. Turns out Sony does NOT ship Sat delivery, even if you pay.
