I almost always buy books from new writers from Smashwords (when available) I figure if you write good stuff and you can make a buck your going to keep me entertained in the years to come

Thanks to Barnes & Noble's new PubIt! service, Stars Rain Down is now available to Nook users! Always exciting entering a new store, and I'm eager to see how this works out.

Also, I'm wondering if anyone here has read David Weber's new book, Out of the Dark. It came out 8 days after mine and has a very similar premise; I'm sort of curious how it compares.

To anyone interested, this (to me anyway) was an excelllent science fiction. I totally enjoyed it. One guestion for Chris ( the author ) please tell me there is a sequel? I could see a series of books here but at least a sequel.. Thanks Chris, you keep writing books like this and I'll keep buying

Thank you! Really glad you enjoyed it.

I definitely have plans for a series, and intend to begin work on the sequel (tentatively titled New Type) this Spring. In the meantime, I'm working on a new book in a different universe (something with a smaller, more intimate focus) which I hope to finish this Winter.

I know not everyone is comfortable writing them, but if you'd consider leaving a review at Amazon (or Smashwords, or Goodreads, or anywhere), I'd really super appreciate it. I welcome all comments, positive and negative alike, and just really want potential readers to have a good solid idea of what's on offer.

Thanks for the welcome, Williamlk and kennyc. This place is chocked full of good folks and I try to pop by whenever I get a chance... which has not been as often as I might like.

Awesome!!! Thanks man!! I have a love/hate relationship with Read an eBook week....I love all the discounts and free books, I hate that I am now compelled to fill up my time with more reading that I should be allowed to do LOL.
