I'll just go to the library tomorrow, and see if I can get a Kindle for the moment and quickly snap some comparison pics. (And I'll try to take some paper towels too, just to hide the black frame
 )

You were right. I did two tests. It was obvious almost immediately once I hid the devices. The black colour plays a big part in contrast judgement by our brain. I've attached a picture that I took like right in front of my fluorescent light. And when I used photoshop to erase the devices from the picture, again it turned same. |
