Mine got pushed before I went to bed--can't recall exact time as I'm a nite owl. I was buying books, had it sitting next to me on a cushion while I was on the puter (I prefer browsing on puter than Kindle), and suddenly it blinked and sent me a message not to turn off as it was updating. Took a few minutes, turned off, restarted, and I checked the settings. Yes, version 3.0.1.

So, yay.

It seems faster to me on page turning (only thing i've done since update).

Or is it that certain devices had problems with that?
Some people are having issues where it just suddenly starts turning pages really slowly and it doesn't appear to be indexing at the time.

It has been posted on several Kindle forums that reading in direct sunlight causes slow page turns. Evidently, slow enough that you can count to 4 between page refreshes. Some say the Kindle easily overheats at temps less than the official 95F.

Amazon is working on the issue.

They're two separate issues with the same symptoms of slow page refresh. People are complaining about the slow page refresh even when indoors.

Absolutely. Which will make Amazon's job even harder.

Mine also updated over 3G this morning. It didn't even ask, it began the update as soon as I put it to sleep.

I only had the page refresh problem once. It was working fine until I turned wireless off for the first time, then it got real slow. It was solved after a soft reset though.

Its not just you. A bunch of people are complaining about the same issue. They had it with 3.0 as well though.

Mine updated yesterday. I had slow page turning for a while and found that it was re-indexing my books. Now it seems to be fine, but I didn't have page turning problems previously. One thing that has been fixed is that I can now update the MobileRead and Feedbook catalogs directly from my kindle, which wasn't working on the K3. I guess this is related to one of the internet problems that some people were reporting.

Tried looking for it yesterday, but couldn't find the feature. I can see the point though, now that it is going to be sold through B&M stores.
