We hardly ever use our front door, but keep a porch light on b/c the UPS truck insists on delivering there, not to the door on the driveway. As a result, the front porch is festooned with spider webs. I had planned to clean them off this past weekend but then had a brilliant idea. Trick & treaters come to the front door, so I'm leaving the webs up as "natural" decorations. If we get any nasty visitors, maybe the spiders will catch & cocoon them!

if they are going to be a more or less deliberate part of your decoration get some metallic spray paint and spray them. they come out pretty awesome!

a lot of people are starting to use other gourds for carving these days, some of them are truly impressive. and love her or hate her, Martha Stewart's Halloween special magazine has some AWESOME carvings in it!
