I bought 8 from CONNECT (mostly with their $50) and 26 others from other sellers (Baen and eBooks.com). Given the translation macro and programs available, CONNECT has to be cheaper since the formatting is static. I've read 12, and am currently reading 2. I'm not sure I'll buy any more from CONNECT, as I also prefer larger print that they seem to produce. I don't care if the book has 1000 pages, it isn't any heavier.

I did go shopping after the software update came out. I wanted to buy something to reward them for fixing the linkage between CONNECT Reader and IE (you can now have Firefox and your default browser and CONNECT Reader doesn't die). Couldn't find anything new, but I figure I still owe them one.

I bought 6 initially and 3 or 4 more since. By Contrast, I have bought 20 or more from BAEN and downloaded about 10 from various free book sites. Not sure how many I have read, probably 10 or more - have not counted.

I do plan to try one thing and that is listen and read - I have one book in both audio and text. Should be interesting....

Zero for me in 3 months. I actually haven't even loaded CONNECT after Sony's Rootkit debacle, but I have been having fun with PDF conversions and formatted Gutenburg content from http://www.manybooks.net

As for Sony, I just don't trust them with my computer anymore.

Regards,

Matt
