Today I received my replacement. Time to backup and ship back the "old" one. Still amazed over the amount of service, and quick actions taken by Amazon CS.

Can't say the same about Apple and my broken 27" iMac.

Hello, Need your help. It seems that I have the same problem.

Today after 2 weeks waiting period I’ve got my first Kindle and you can imagine my disappointment when I’ve found out that the screen is with defect. Please advice what to write to CService.

Just tell them what the problem is, there's no mystery in the process.

They'll ship you out a new one and ask you to return your existing one within 30 days

I had this exact issue with my DXG. Amazon exchanged it with no problem.

I bought the US version wich comes with a USB cable and a AC adapter. The one I got as a replacement was in the same packaging, but the international edition without the ac adapter. (I kept the ac adapter after speaking with CS, and send back the old kindle.)

I guess a refurbished kindle will not be sent out if the defect item is DOA (Defect on arrival).
